Beautiful Blue Dolls in August!!
Dear Wanda Family,
The summer seems to have extended until September in Japan, so it’s still very hot and humid. In order to ease our summer woes, we would like to introduce to you some refreshing new dolls that are perfect for the season.
First up is the beautiful blue Wanda Friend Maris Coast. His translucent ocean blue body, which gradiates to dark blue from below the knees to the feet, represents the tropical sea. He has black-colored eyes with sparkles that give him a gentle image. Like other previous dolls, its translucent quality allows for a more luminous and varied color reflection, when hit by sunlight. Maris’ entire body transforms and even his smile becomes more apparent, as light passes through his body. He is also flexible enough to be dressed in any type of clothing.
He lives in the coast of big city, Horus. There, he runs a store specializing in tasty jellies. The ingredients of his jellies are creatures that live in the sea, such as jellyfish or sea slime monster! Such strange flavors seem to be very popular among the children of sea inhabitants.
Next we have two Fortune Wanda Friends. First one is Farino Coast. Farino's body is a slightly darker blue color than Maris. His color is the same on his entire body, except for his black eyes, making his appeal more innocently cute or endearingly simple. Together with Maris, the synergy of their colors create a symphony of blue, seeming to play homage to the Pacific Ocean. The second FWF is Bluefey Nonoi, which will be featured and sold at the upcoming Tokyo Doll Show on September 8, 2024. He is a special luminescent version doll, that glows blue in the dark. He is a long-eared breed with large blue ears, a pink nose and black eyes. He will also be launched for sale together with all dolls in this announcement, ahead of the Japan sale.
And the fun continues!
Besides WF and FWF, we also have Chatterbug Jinbei, who also lives in the ocean. With its beige face, light blue front, and navy blue back side, sprinkled in polka dots, it has some resemblance with a whale shark. It would look cute with our another Chatterbug, the previously released Grinny.
Lastly, we have a new My Wanda Friend doll. This new one has a completely transparent feature. Think of it as a blank canvas and take advantage of its transparency, by decorating it with various materials inside. You can put anything inside, like beads, ribbons, color paper and whatever pretty trinket you have, to create something you can truly call “My Wanda Friend.”
